Removing the Tacky Surface
There are a number of things that have been used (Goo-Gone, rubbing alcohol, Acetone, WD-40 ) to remove the tacky layer. Which ever of these is easiest to obtain, you can remove this tacky layer by wiping with a clean Q-tip, cloth or soft paper towel. After curing Tuffleye, place the saturated Q-tip or cloth of polish remover on the tacky surface and rub for a few seconds to dissolve the tacky layer. You will feel the Q-tip slide on the surface easier as the stickiness is dissolved. Immediately wipe off the polish remover with the rag or paper towel and polish the Tuffleye surface a bit by rubbing. If this does not give you the high gloss finish you desire, you can get that show case finish with a quick thin coat of Hard as Nails or Hard as Hull. (This surface is also explained in the FAQ's page.)

PLACEMENT OF THE TUFFLEYE LED LIGHT SHIELD

1. Place the Amber light shield over the light housing. It may be tight but should fit over the housing. If you cannot place it, or the hole in the shield is not the correct size, please contact us at info@wetahook.net.

2. Place the included round rubber O ring, or elastic, over the lens housing and stretch it across the light. It is tight and may need some stretching but it will roll over the outer portion of the lens housing into place.

3. When finished rolling the O ring over the light, push the O ring and the Light shield backward to stop against the notched porting of the lens housing. The O ring will hold the shield against the housing. If not too tight, the shield can be turned to your desired viewing and working position.
